Victoria University of Wellington’s division of the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is looking for a Communications and Marketing Adviser to support its external and internal communications.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an eye for detail and a passion for communicating. Strong writing and editing skills and the ability to adapt content and tone to suit channel and audience are essential. You will be responsible for the communication of high quality, timely information via the Faculties’ channels, including print publications, our website, social media, and e-newsletters. You will also provide communications advice and support to academic staff members and so must be able to form excellent working relationships with a range of people across the Faculties, the University and externally.

Applicants should have experience using content management systems, social media platforms, and email marketing software, and be familiar with print publication processes. An employment background or interest in the education sector would be an advantage.

We’re looking for someone who is exceptionally well-organized, calm under pressure, able to problem-solve independently, and who has a strong client focus and a drive for excellence.

This is a full-time, permanent position and would suit a communication and marketing professional with at least three years’ experience looking for a new challenge.

You must be eligible to work in New Zealand to apply for this role.
