Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting an Assistant Manager Admissions and Enrolments to join the Admissions and Enrolments team. This is a role within a team of 8 Advisers and is based at the University campus in Kelburn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and professional, high quality, sound information and advice on Admission and Enrolment policies, regulations, processes, and systems to students and staff
  • Organise and oversee the Enrolment and Domestic Admission processes
  • Coordinate the Admission and Enrolment staff, providing coaching and workload management
  • Ensures available technology supports optimal processing of student data with a high level of accuracy
  • Deputises for the Manager Admissions and Enrolments

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the university and tertiary sector environment processing student applications with specific admissions and enrolments experience
  • Extensive experience in a customer focussed role and proven ability to manage difficult customers whilst maintaining the integrity of the admission and enrolment processes and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in managing and monitoring teams and distributing the workload
  • Ability to problem-solve, identify improvements and introduce new processes as needed
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • High level of analytical and conceptual skills and demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and policy in admissions and enrolments in higher education
