Victoria University of Wellington launched two new Communication degrees in 2020: the Bachelor of Communication (BC) and the Master of Communication (MC). We are now looking to appoint three suitably qualified Lecturers to contribute to these programmes as we move into offering new second year courses in 2021.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of these new and fast-growing degree programmes in Wellington, New Zealand.

The roles would include designing and delivering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in addition to contributing to the research profile of the programmes at Victoria University of Wellington.

The successful candidates will have a PhD in communication studies, political communication or related field and demonstrate a commitment to/existing track record of a research programme in the communication field. The appointees will be able to effectively engage and mentor students from different backgrounds and supervise student research at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The appointees will also demonstrate the ability to work collegially in a team, contribute effectively to the administration of the programmes and evidence awareness of our obligations to the Treaty of Waitangi in an academic context.
