Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

The Human Resources (HR) Team at the University is looking for an HR Administrator for 6 months fixed term contract (secondment if internal) agreement to work in a central administration team with a focus on HR and Recruitment services. Activities and support the HR Admin hub provides includes the University’s advertising capability, overarching recruitment processes, shared mailbox management, and helping the adoption of digital solutions for HR services.

In line with the adoption of technology, data-driven decisions, and changing work practices, the HR Team is transforming the way it works and delivers services to clients. Changes include a new HRIS system (Tumu) and increased adoption of paperless solutions. The role will include digital administration, process improvement, content creation, and may include new systems testing.

The HR Team provides staff developmental, strategic, tactical and operational advice, support and services to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Deans, Heads of School, and Central Services Directors and Managers across all areas of human resources activity, including the provision of payroll services to the University.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You will have demonstrable experience in the use of technology to undertake administration, information management, and communication; for example Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, and PowerPoint. The ability to leverage SharePoint for information management, MS Forms, Power BI, or create reports from excel data including pivot tables and v-lookups is also desirable.

You will have experience in HR and recruitment systems, undertaken shared mailbox management, and engage with internal line managers, hiring teams, and candidates on a frequent basis.
